A Microsoft To Do–inspired execution platform that replaces spreadsheets and informal tracking with a single governable system for an entire ministry. Every employee gets a personal 'My Day' focus view, while managers gain hierarchy-scoped supervision and leadership gets a Command Center that surfaces organizational state — overdue work, workload distribution, and risk — at a glance. Built for government IT constraints: on-prem SQL Server, optional Active Directory, fully local UI assets for air-gapped networks, and RTL Arabic throughout.

The challenge
MTCIT ran on ad-hoc spreadsheets and informal follow-ups across a three-level hierarchy (Directorate → Department → Section). There was no single source of truth for who owned what, no proof of completion, and no way for leadership to see organizational state without chasing managers. Any solution also had to run on-premise with SQL Server and optional AD, work offline in air-gapped environments, and be fully Arabic/RTL.
The solution
We delivered a layered ASP.NET Core 8 platform following Clean Architecture: a task-first execution engine with My Day, Important, projects, due dates, reminders, and recurrence for individuals; assignment, shared lists, comments, attachments, and nested subtasks for teams; hierarchy-scoped supervision views for managers; and a role-aware Command Center with KPIs, workload tables, and risk panels for executives. Five roles (Admin, GeneralManager, DirectorateManager, SectionHead, User) enforce visibility and assignment rules, and every task carries a full audit timeline.
Architecture
Clean Architecture across Domain (entities, enums, AppRoles), Application (use cases, TaskCategoryRules, OrganizationalPathHelper), Infrastructure (EF Core, Identity, Active Directory, repositories, migrations), and a thin Web layer (14 controllers, Razor views, SignalR hubs). Real-time updates over SignalR, SQL Server persistence, Tailwind + local JS assets served on-prem, and a /health endpoint reporting database status.
